One of the most important parts of design for me is how the space makes me feel. So whether or not something inspires me or if it’s sentimental, I try to keep it. Ultimately, it’s the physical and emotional connection I have to things. We’ll go do markets, and we’ll just pick things up and then either frame them or even if my daughter collects shells, we’ll just kind of display them out and about. It makes us feel good about the house. And it doesn’t have to be what’s popular or what’s trending. Just something that you feel good about.
